Make sure you have your entries ready to be posted on December 4!


With reference to the efforts of and (Who I believe have sparked this idea) The Big Cats Club would love to host a contest in support.

Help save the beautiful cheetah with your art! In order to raise awareness about the gradual extinction of a species, we want to really make a big statement. This is where you come in! On December 4 post an artwork of a cheetah onto deviantArt. What we hope this will do is flood the deviantArt front pages of images and artworks of this cat. Causing people to wonder why the cheetah has become so popular, and thus find out about their fight for survival as a species.

In our attempt to raise awareness about this challenge The Big Cats Club will host a contest to encourage more people to post an image of a cheetah on December 4.

Also we would like to include other groups into this contest, so instead of it being The Big Cats Club exclusive contest, it'll be supported by many other big cat groups on dA, with TBCC being the central hub where people can view recent updates/updated prizes and the submission of entries, which will be in the favourites folder - so not to be bias.
If you have an animal/big cat related group that wishes to be part of this, please send a note to =TheBlueGuardian and I will include you in the 'Groups Involved' at the bottom of the journal'


Rules of Contest:
IT MUST BE SUBMITTED DECEMBER 4. It will not be accepted if it is not submitted on that day.
This can be any artwork of a cheetah (Photo, drawing, literature piece)
Having a conservation message in the artwork is not necessary, however it will be favoured
The title should include something about 'The International Cheetah Day Challenge' and have a description on raising awareness on this beautiful cat.
Because of the multi-group thing, you do not need to be a member of the group to enter.
On December 4 a folder in our FAVOURITES will be opened to accept all entries to be judged.

Prizes
The exact prizes are uncertain because of the group thingo.
However, =TheBlueGuardian will donate 500 points
And a painting of your own request (which will be sent to you with shipping paid by me)
